The online division of the UK land and online gambling group Gala Coral has become the latest online betting company to partner with a British football club, inking a two year deal with Everton FC.
Welcoming the betting company, the communications director of the Premier League team, Richard Kenyon, said: “Coral Interactive are a renowned and respected betting brand and we are delighted to become part of their sporting stable for the next two years.
“We look forward to working together and developing a partnership that covers the traditional betting and the emerging interactive markets. We also welcome the support they have shown for our charity Everton in the Community and their generous donation will go to further the important work being undertaken across Merseyside.”
Matt Prevost, commercial director at Coral Interactive, said Everton was “…up there with the best football clubs in the Premier League and we look forward to providing a professional and engaging betting service to all the fans of the club.”
In related news, the publication Brand Republic reports that the Coral group has launched its latest television advertising campaign, timed to coincide with the start of the Barclays Premier League season.
The advert, which features comical repartee between a punter and chip van servers at a football stadium relating to both food and odds menus, was created by agency Big Al’s Creative Emporium, with a theme that will run across a range of media.
