Gambling.com has announced the appointment of its first independent director, former Cherry AB chief executive officer Fredrik Burvall.
Burvall brings experience and a broad network to the table having spent more than eleven years at Cherry as chief financial officer and most recently as chief executive officer.
Under Burvall’s leadership, Cherry became one of the largest Nordic-facing gaming companies and saw its share price rise by over 800 percent.
Burvall currently also holds board positions on Aspire Global plc, myTaste AB and Interactive Malta Ltd.
“Fredrik’s broad experience in the online gaming sector will certainly help the Group achieve its aggressive growth plans in the coming years,” gambling.com’s Group Chief Executive, Charles Gillespie, said.
