The Nevada Gaming Control Board has released gambling statistics for the month of July, reporting that revenues were up less than 1 percent compared with the same month last year.
The state’s casinos brought in $932 million, with the Las Vegas Strip up 5 percent to $563 million, while downtown Las Vegas revenue declined 3 percent to $38 million.
Reno casino revenue was down 2 percent in July to $48 million, and South Lake Tahoe gambling revenue plunged 23 percent to $25 million.
The state collected $52 million in taxes on the July winnings…down almost 15 percent compared with last year.
