Gamesys online slots for Facebook

The London-based social games studio ‘iwi’ has announced the launch of a new game: Jackpotjoy Slots as a free to play social entertainment on Facebook. The game is based on a classic slot mechanic, with a strong real-time social interaction component.
Jackpotjoy Slots launches with 10 different themed slot games, each with its own unique characters and bonus rounds.
“We’re excited to be bringing this great gaming content to Facebook as a part of our efforts to help Jackpotjoy find new audiences around the world,” explains Tom Newton, who heads iwi,
“Players can unlock new slot themes, bonus games, and wager amounts as they progress through the game. Social features include real-time chat in full screen mode, allowing players to talk, interact and share coins with one another during play.”
For the more competitive players, there are two catalogues of achievements to complete: a badge collection centred on individual games, and a trophy collection for game-wide achievements. There are also two leader boards to scale: one for friends only, and another for players from all over the world.
Jackpotjoy Slots extends the catalogue of iwi games on Facebook which already includes SuperFun Town, a sim-style city building game, and Bingo .net, a popular 75-ball bingo game.
A Gamesys subsidiary, iwi is part of a group that includes Jackpotjoy.com. Lee Fenton, Gamesys group chief executive commented: “This fits with the Gamesys strategy to extend the Jackpotjoy brand and give players across the world the opportunity to play our suite of games and chat for free on the most popular social network.”
