Mobile and social casino gambling operator Gamzio Mobile, Inc. has acquired the Facebook social casino app Go-Go Casino as part of its strategy to aggressively grow through acquisitions and organic player acquisition.
The Go-Go casino app is currently in redevelopment by Gamzio to address recent declines caused by a lack of upgrades and technology innovation, but in the past the app has been extremely popular, amassing over 361,000 player downloads.
Gamzio is now working on update functions, installing upgrades and enhancements to gameplay, and deploying proven optimisation frameworks from its other successful games. The new and improved Gamzio Go-Go Casino will be rolled out over the next 45 days.
Gamzio CEO, Jason Deiboldt, said this week: “Gamzio is very happy about expanding to the Facebook canvas which serves over 375 million gamers monthly. We plan to totally revise and re-launch Go-Go Casino with a brand new unmatched player experience on Facebook.”
With Facebook’s “total payment and other fees” revenue (which is made up largely of game revenue), totalling $237 million for 2014Q1, the acquisition of Go-Go Casino provides Gamzio with the opportunity to tap into this large pool of players and new revenue, Deiboldt added.
