Ganapati Malta has signed an agreement with Japanese artists, singer-songwriter Pikotaro and comedian Daimaou Kosaka, responsible for the YouTube hit sensation, Pen-Pineaple-Apple-Pen.
Under the terms of the agreement, and in partnership with Sony and AVEX, the company will develop a slot based on the off-the-wall song that has attracted over 110 million views since its release in August 2016.
Richard Hogg, director at Ganapati, said: “Japanese culture is taking the world by storm right now, and we are excited to be able to share it with European consumers via our slots games.
“With the deal now in place, our team of designers and developers are already hard at work on the look and feel of the game, and we can’t wait to bring it to market later this year.”
