Oslo-listed online gambling company Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) is using the SEK 400 million in capital it recently raised on the market (see previous report) to good effect, reporting Thursday that it has agreed to buy an unnamed affiliate marketing group for Euro 5.7 million.
GIG revealed that the company operates predominantly in the Germany, Austria and Switzerland markets, and said that once acquired it will be managed by the group’s affiliate marketing division Innovation Labs.
Robin Reed, CEO of GIG advised in a company statement:
“We aim to make Innovation Labs the largest lead generation business in iGaming. Through this acquisition, we are entering the DACH markets whom are likely to be re-regulated in the future, and are therefore markets we are increasingly focusing on. This acquisition will enable Innovation Labs to refer more German speaking customers to our B2B partners and thus benefit all parties engaged in the expanding GIG iGaming eco-system”.
The new asset, once integrated joins other GIG affiliate acquisitions like Casinotopsonline.com (see previous reports).
