Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) has boosted its soon-to-be launched GIG Sports vertical following the signing of a long-term agreement with Perform Group’s RunningBall who will provide data from international sports events.
GIG, who will use the data to provide odds services to its B2B clients and own brands, hails the deal as an important building block towards launching GIG Sports “as a serious challenger to the supply side of the sports betting industry”.
GIG Sports will launch ahead of the FIFA World Cup and comprises a product portfolio containing aggregated and in-house generated odds & data services, trading and risk management platform, business intelligence (BI) and marketing platform as well as mobile first front-end technology.
All services can be sold stand alone or as a turnkey solution and will be fully integrated with GIGs platform services.
“In GIG Sports we will use data to disrupt the world of sports betting. Perform Group is the market leader on sports data and the deal will enable us to deliver data-driven odds and services for our B2B clients with an efficiency that is unrivalled in sports betting today,” Robin Reed, GIG CEO, said.
“Development is well under way and we are looking forward to launching our offering ahead of the FIFA World Cup in 2018”.
“We are pleased to have entered into an agreement where RunningBall will be able to take advantage of GIG Sports´ extensive network in Norway. In addition, we look forward to contributing to GIG Sports’ betting offering in the European market,” added Ross MacEacharn, CEO Perform Content.
