Atlantic City land casino operator Golden Nugget has belatedly entered the recently launched intrastate online gambling market in New Jersey after voluntarily holding back from the official market launch date to iron out glitches in its systems .
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has given the operator a green light, and the enterpirse will go live at midday Saturday 14 December at GoldenNuggetCasino.com and GoldenNuggetPoker.com.
77 game titles will be offered to the public in partnership with Bally Technologies.
Six other AC casinos were cleared to begin offering full online gambling last month and have been reporting growing numbers of gambler account registrations.
Announcing the green light, Tom Pohlman, the casino’s general manager, told the Associated Press news agency Friday:
“We weren’t satisfied with what we were ready to offer our customers at that point. Now, we are very satisfied. Everything is exactly where we want it to be. We offer more titles of slots, video poker and table games titles than anyone, and we make it easier than anywhere else to fund an account and get started.”
The Golden Nugget will allow customers to fund accounts using Visa, MasterCard, bank transfers, personal checks, or cash at the casino. But it also is offering a prepaid cash card that runs on the Discover card network that lets customers instantly transfer cash to and from their online gambling account.
