Good news for Sportech investors

Sportech plc had good news for investors Wednesday, announcing that the UK Court of Appeal Judges has ruled unanimously in favour of Sportech in the Group’s appeal case relating to a GBP 97 million VAT repayment claim on the “Spot the Ball” game (see previous reports).

However, the matter cannot yet be regarded as finally over – Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs has been given until 13 May 2016 to apply to the Court of Appeal for permission to appeal to the Supreme Court.

Sportech has undertaken to keep shareholders and the media advised on further developments.
