Greentube, a gambling developer and provider for internet, mobile, PC and iTV in the Novomatic group, has announced the successful launch of its first consumer-facing, US-based social game, Magic Key Casino.
Built in collaboration with BlueBat Games, Magic Key Casino is available on Facebook, and includes the benefits of Greentube’s long expertise in developing games like Hoffmania and Ski Challenge, an interactive ski race for web and mobile that boasts more than 3 million downloads.
Magic Key Casino offers players slots, poker, bingo and arcade games in a Magic-themed environment. Greentube’s virtual games mirror real-life casino experiences and allow players to customise play in terms of bet amounts, and lines played on slots.
“We’ve poured a considerable amount of effort and resources into developing Magic Key in order to ensure success,” said Gabriel Cianchetto, president of market development for Greentube North America.
“The US social gaming market continues to expand at a steady pace and we wanted to be a part of it. The combined pedigree of Greentube and Novomatic ensures that Magic Key and all future products appeal to a broad audience.”
According to Eilers Research, the global social casino games market will reach $2.6 billion with 31 percent year-over-year growth. Facebook social gaming revenues are estimated at $322 million with 6 percent quarter-over-quarter growth.
Greg Hennessey, creative director of BlueBat Games said the new platform combines the best elements of the social casino experience with a unique ‘magical’ twist and attention to the needs of the Greentube fan base.
