Denmark’s online gambling market has grown in the third quarter compared to the same period 2014 but still lags behind Q2/2015 results in terms of gross gaming revenue (GGR), the Danish gambling authority Spillmyndigheden reports.
Betting GGR amounted to DKK 560 million, (Q3/2014: DKK 495 million) showing strong growth compared to both the third quarter 2014 and the second quarter 2015.
Online casino grew almost 25 percent over Q3/2014 to DKK 330 million, exceeding an annual average growth rate of 10 percent in 2014.
Total gross gaming revenues for the third quarter amounted to DDK 890 million (Q3/204: DDK 760 million) exceeding Q2/2015 in which GGR was reported as DDK 805 million.
Gaming machine GGR came in at DDK 385 million (Q3/2014: DDK 370 million) down from the previous quarter results of DDK 415 million.
Land-based casino reported their best quarter since 2012 with revenues amounting to DDK 95 million (Q3/2014: DDK 80 million).
Spillemyndigheden expects full year total GGR of DDK 8,350 million compared to 2014’s yield of DDK 7,750 million.
