Ramesh Srinivasan is out and Richard Haddrill is back in the chief executive officer hot seat at Bally Technologies in what appears to be an amicable rearrangement which also sees Srinivasan stepping down from the board of the online and land gambling supplier.
Announcing the change without explanation Friday, the new chairman of the board, David Robbins, paid tribute to the departing CEO, thanking him for his many years of service to the company, his leadership in guiding the company through the acquisition and integration of SHFL Entertainment, and his exemplary execution in developing Bally’s systems business.
Robbins and Haddrill go back a way; the incoming CEO has served as a member of the board since 2003 and chairman of the board since 2012, he was the company’s CEO from 2004 to 2012.
Robbins has been the board’s senior independent director, and also served as chairman from 1997 to 2010.
Applauding the reappointment of Haddrill as CEO, Robbins said:
“Dick’s depth of knowledge about our company and our industry is unparalleled. As a result of his many years of being Bally’s CEO, a director and chairman, we believe that he is uniquely qualified to lead Bally through its next era of growth.”
