Hungarian lottery launch sports betting site

The Hungarian National Lottery Szerencsejáték Zrt has launched its long-awaited online sports betting website at tippmixpro.hu following a five-month testing period.

The website due for launch around the middle of last year was developed by GTECH G2 who reportedly failed to meet the delivery deadline and was subsequently charged HUF 106 million ($473,284) in penalties according to the Budapest Business Journal (BBJ).

The BBJ said taking into consideration the penalty, the cost of developing the site and operating it for six years will amount to HUF 422 million ($1,884,210).
