The Vancouver-based trade association, Interactive Gaming Council launched a new website this week dedicated to providing news and information about online gaming as it relates to the Canadian industry and its jurisdictions.
IGC Canada.com has been designed to ensure that: “….timely and accurate information is available to Canadians about the industry, offshore operators, and the benefits of licensing and regulation,” given the activity occurring across the country as provinces enter the online gaming environment.
The existing website, Igcouncil.org, will continue to provide American-focused news and information, and is the source of all relevant background information on the IGC, including its advertising code of conduct, Helping Hand program, code of conduct, and membership application, a spokesman said this week.
“The reality is that vast numbers of Canadians are already playing on online gaming sites and deserve the full protection of their governments,” the new site notes on its landing page.
