The Sydney-headquartered online and land gambling games and software developer Aristocrat is the latest company to benefit from the staff ructions at IGT, with top games developer Joe Kaminkow signing up as senior vice president of games development.
A press statement from the Australian company Tuesday announced Kaminkow’s appointment, noting that he is one of the most respected and successful creative talents in the global gaming industry, having led the development of top performing slot titles such as Wheel of Fortune, Sex and the City and Ghostbusters over the past 20 years.
Aristocrat says that Kaminkow’s deep experience in casino slot games, with a particular focus on North American recurring revenue offerings, will benefit its strategy to expand in this valuable market segment and optimise its core Class III business.
Kaminkow will be based in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is expected to commence employment in May 2013.
Aristocrat CEO and managing director, Jamie Odell said, “I’m delighted to welcome a standout talent of Joe Kaminkow’s calibre to Aristocrat.
“Joe knows how to combine maths, art and brands to make great games that delight players and drive revenues for our customers.
“To deliver the world’s greatest gaming content, we need the world’s greatest game development talent. Joe’s appointment is further evidence that Aristocrat is serious about securing the best talent bar none, and [is] making significant progress against this goal,” concluded Odell.
Joe Kaminkow said, “There’s real energy and momentum here, and I’m looking forward to being part of the team that makes Aristocrat the number one gaming content provider in the world.”
