Mobile gambling and social networking group Imperus Technologies Corp., has announced the appointment as CEO and director of James Lanthier, formerly chief executive of private equity firm RAM Equity.
Lanthier’s experience includes a spell as COO of Mood Media Corporation, where he remains a director, and a seat on the board of NYX Gaming Group.
In management positions that included COO, CFO and vice chairman, he was instrumental in developing Mood Media Corporation from a start-up into one of the world’s largest designers of in-store consumer experiences, with over 570,000 subscriber locations in over 40 countries throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
His c.v. also includes co-founding skill games company FUN Technologies, where he helped build the company from inception through its IPO on the TSX and LSE to its successful sale to Liberty Media Corporation. At Fun Technologies, Lanthier held the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
He holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and a BA (Honours) from Queen’s University.
Imperus recently announced the acquisition of social games company Akamon Entertainment Millennium .
Imperus founder Daniel Kajouie said this week that Lanthier’s impressive industry track record would be invaluable to the Imperus management team as it continues to implement its expansion strategy.
