Social online games developer Plumbee has announced that it is to introduce its own in-house slots development team in London, and that it has hired former NextGen manager Peter Stathis as lead mathematician and game designer.
The team will work on projects designed to diversify the company’s popular Facebook offering, Mirrorball Slots.
It will consist of up to 12 employees tasked with focusing on products, while Plumbee’s exclusive supplier agreement with Quickspin is to continue.
“We are delighted to welcome someone of Peter’s calibre and experience to our team,” said Raf Keustermans, Plumbee CEO.
“He will play a pivotal role in building out our in-house slots development team here in London. Our goal is to focus a lot of our time and energy on providing our players with the best possible content in the social casino space.
“Building a top-notch in-house slots studio to complement our content from Quickspin is an obvious next step and the Plumbee slots team will work across both Facebook and mobile platforms.”
Plumbee was founded a year ago and has seen 200,000 daily active users of its Mirrorball Slots game since its introduction four months ago.
The company has additionally revealed that it has premiered keno on Mirrorball Slots, as its first non-slot title, designed to act as a bonus game for players with the ‘hearts’ virtual currency to win coins in order to play its Rapunzel’s Tower, Goldilocks and the Wild Bears and Big Bad Wolf slots
