In-room gambling a good tax generator

Lee Amaitis, the president of mobile gambling technology firm Cantor Gaming, has informed a Senate Judiciary Committee that allowing guests to gamble using mobile devices in their hotel rooms and within the premises of licensed US land casinos, could deliver an additional $18.5 million in tax revenues.
Amaitis revealed that customer surveys conducted by his company, which has active mobile ‘in-premises’ experience, had shown that the most popular location to play mobile games was in hotel rooms. He added that security measures included in the technology prevent underage gambling and other concerns of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Canotr Gaming is among the pioneers of the technology, which allows casino resort guests to gamble from anywhere on the premises.
