Grosvenor Casinos, a Rank Group online and land casino gambling subsidiary, has launched an innovative plan to push up its brand profile in the London area and attract punters to its venues.
Billed “The World’s Smallest Travelling Casino” the initiative centres on a specially adapted traditional London cab fitted with audio visual equipment designed to give passengers quick tutorials on casino gaming, along with a mini-bar and television screens showing sporting events. There will also be a gaming table where the dealer will give quick lessons in Blackjack and online gaming using a tablet.
The cab project is backed by a related marketing push that includes social media elements through which Londoners can call up the cab to take them free-of-charge to the nearest Grosvenor casino.
Alternatively, passengers can be transported to other city attractions in return for a donation to Grosvenor Casinos’ charity The Carers’ Trust.
Former England cricket player Phil Tufnel has been hired to promote the cab initiative, which is set to run for three weeks from today (June 1). There are plans to send the cab ‘up North’ to Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester, followed by Glasgow as the initiative progresses.
