Virtual sports provider Inspired has entered into an exclusive collaboration with Carm Productions and The Jockey Club for the development of a Virtual Grand National product.
The backdrop to the new suite of products will be familiar to die-hard race-goers as Aintree Racecourse and its iconic fences.
Merging the virtual with the real, legendary names from the Grand National will also compete in the Virtual Grand National Race of Champions, the headline product of the new suite, which will be broadcast ahead of the live Grand National.
The Virtual Grand National Race of Champions will be followed by the release of a second “unique” Aintree feature race, The Virtual Grand National, which will present the declared runners and riders in any given year.
Aintree will become the first racecourse in the U.K. to be featured daily in Virtual Horse Races provided exclusively by Inspired, which will be streamed to online and mobile players, and broadcast into retail betting and gaming locations worldwide through Inspired’s network of digital and land-based platforms, the company said.
“The introduction of the most famous course, Aintree, into this virtual world enables us to offer our customers a unique product which will clearly differentiate us from other providers in the sector,” commented Steve Rogers, chief commercial officer of Digital Games, Inspired.
