Atlantic City’s Resorts Casino Hotel has released further details on its new FastPick daily fantasy sports online offering, which will be operated by subsidiary Resorts Digital Gaming, revealing that it has partnered with Sport Analytics and Data Corp. and FSB Technology (UK) in designing a product that will reduce the edge “professional” players using assistive technology have over the average DFS fan.
The company claims that in research leading to the design and preparation of FastPick it found that players lose interest when they realise they have little chance of winning in competing against traditional “professional” DFS players with far more time, knowledge and in some cases, the benefit of assistive technology.
This led to the partnerships with Sport Analytics and Data Corp. and FSB Technology (UK) in producing head-to-head player match-ups in “a truly one-of-a-kind online DFS experience” that makes DFS “more enjoyable and rewarding than previously experienced on other DFS sites.”
Ed Andrewes, of EA Gaming Consultancy, which advised Resorts on the project, said:
“We’ve designed the platform to accommodate all sports fans who want to get a piece of the action but don’t have the time to compete effectively against the traditional “professional” DFS players.”
Resorts say it plans to roll out FastPick to its bricks and mortar casino via a number of cutting edge kiosks later in the year.
