Police in Flagstaff, Arizona have been active over the weekend, raiding an internet cafe and two associated residential premises armed with search warrants for illegal online gambling.
Spokesman Sgt. Cory Runge told the Associated Press news agency that the raiding party found and seized “hundreds” of computers being used as illegal gambling devices, and $14,000 in cash.
He claimed that the operators were able to set very low win ratios on the games they offered.
Runge also revealed that investigators on the case believe the ring may have been conducting illegal gambling operations in multiple states, but said that no charges have yet been laid as enquiries continue.
