Canadian gaming firm The Intertain Group has acquired the rights to Parlay’s latest bingo software source code (BSSC) along with the bingo.ca domain for a cash consideration of CDN $2.8 million.
“Intertain has acquired some of the leading bingo brands in the world during the past 12 months and it has been our plan to eventually own a proprietary bingo platform to provide the Company with options and flexibility for our current and future business,” said John Kennedy FitzGerald, president and chief executive officer of Intertain.
Intertain’s recently acquired Vera&John online casino will immediately be able to launch a bingo offer with the integration of the bingo platform and additional side games into its existing platform.
Under the terms of the agreement, Intertain will have access to Parlay’s back office system and HTML5 mobile bingo products. The company additionally licensed additional casino, mini and side games, along with direct game integration capabilities for other CRM and content platforms from Parlay.
The inclusion of the Bingo.ca domain affords Intertain the opportunity to launch a Canada-wide free-to-play bingo network in which it will be able to showcase its products and bingo expertise to Provincial lottery corporations, the company said.
