IOM gambling authority introduces B2B software supplier license

The Isle of Man (IOM) Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC), has introduced a new Software Supplier License (B2B) ensuring software suppliers meet the same standards as those of the GSC-licensed operators they supply their games to.

“Software Supplier Licence (B2B) has been developed over recent months after high demand from companies located around the world requesting to be licensed by the highly experienced regulator,” a press statement reads.

The new license is not mandatory for suppliers who supply software to IOM-licensed operators, however, those that are licensed will, after games testing and certification, be added to the GSC games registry  which can be used by IOM licensees without an additional testing certificate.

Mark Rutherford, Deputy CEO of the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission:

“It became clear to us that there was an opportunity to improve the system, which could make checking the fairness of games easier and faster.

“Software licensing is actually the most efficient way of achieving what we wanted and provides for greater efficiency in game deployment, lower costs and a shorter time-to-market for our existing operators.”
