Israeli police in online gambling sweep

Details remain scarce on news breaking in Israel Sunday that Tel Aviv police have arrested dozens of illegal online gambling website managers in an organised sweep, breaking up enterprises that allegedly have multi-million shekel revenues.

Ynet News reported that several of the arrested managers were due to appear on remand hearings in the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court.

The enforcement sweep was initiated after indictments were filed last week against the managers of a gambling website which ran bets reportedly worth NIS 4.3 billion.
