Snow-bound Joemel Panisa of Oregon decided last week to give his home office a clean out to pass the time, and it was as well that he did.
He found a year-old lottery ticket and decided to check the result….just in case.
It turned out to be worth a million dollars, according to a news release this week from the Oregon State Lottery…and the doubly lucky punter found it just a few days before it was due to expire.
Panisa was able to claim the ticket to become the fourth Mega Millions $1 million winner since the game was launched in Oregon in 2010, the Oregon State the lottery said.
