JustBet under scrutiny by Aussie authorities

Tasmanian independent MP, Andrew Wilkie, is calling for the shut down of cryptocurrency sports betting website JustBet, whom he claims is masquerading as an Australian-authorised operation and is in breach of the Australian Federal Interactive Gambling Act.

According to an ABC News report, the site is registered with Christmas Island Domain Administration by a Panamanian and its IP address is rooted in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Wilkie’s claim has triggered an investigation by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) who confirmed the operator is not registered on its authorised provider list.
