Dutch gambling authority Kansspelautoriteit has entered into a cooperation agreement with twenty other gambling regulators of member states of the European Economic Area (EEA), and is soon to be joined by another ten.
The agreement, established by the European Commission, outlines a regulated and increased exchange of information relating to gaming markets, gaming suppliers, licensees, research supervision, consumer protection, prevention of gambling-related fraud, money laundering and match fixing while reducing unnecessary administrative burdens.
The European Commission’s initiative was established in the interests of addressing the cross-border aspects of gambling.
