Online betting group Betfair has appointed the Karmarama digital advertising agency to handle customer acquisition marketing after a successful pitch.
Karmarama will work on social media, mobile, product development and online creative, said Ben Carter, head of Betfair’s online acquisition department.
Campaign Live reports that Big Al’s Creative Emporium was appointed to the Betfair account in June this year, replacing Albion London, which did not take part the pitch for the account.
Big Al’s most recent Betfair creative featured a Ferrero Rocher ad, starring sporting heroes, Campaign Live reports.
A previous project involved placing QR codes on the bikini bottoms of beach volleyball players taking part in a test tournament for London 2012. When the codes were photographed by a smartphone, the user was directed to a registration page offering new Betfair customers a free bet.
