After ten years at the helm of bookmaker Stan James, chief executive Denis Kelly will reportedly retire at the end of this year.
Our readers may recall that two years ago the online operations of Stan James were acquired by Unibet (now part of the London listed Kindred Group) for GBP 19 million. The agreement permitted use of the Stan James brand, which Kindred will soon be abandoning.
Kindred has tasked its head of UK Strategy & Finance Operations, Neil Banbury, with leading the company as an interim measure until a permanent CEO is appointed.
Banbury is a graduate of Nottingham University and a chartered accountant who joined Unibet in 2010 after three years’ service at Ernst and Young.
