The Microgaming-powered King Cashalot progressive jackpot has paid out a huge GBP1.5 million to one lucky Ladbrokes player this week, according to a company announcement which gave little information on the lucky player or his or her plans for the cash bonanza.
King Cashalot is one of 37 progressive jackpots, all of which are part of the Microgaming Progressive Jackpot Network, which the company claims is the largest online progressive jackpot offering on the internet.
In total the jackpot network has paid out over Euro 285 million, to over 8,000 lucky winners to date. Winners are paid out in one full tranche.
Microgaming progressives hold the record for the largest internet jackpot yet paid, a Euro 6.37 million payout to a player in May 2009.
