The departure of Ladbrokes’ customer experience director and chief marketer Stephen Vowles earlier this year has prompted a reshuffle of the company’s marketing team.
According to Marketing Week, Ladbrokes has chosen not to replace Vowles but has opted to hand over its digital marketing activity to online partner Playtech. Its traditional marketing activity will remain with its UK team.
The reshuffle has seen board member Nick Rust take overall responsibility for marketing, while research director Adam Collett and retail marketing director Andy May will take a more direct role in the bookmaker’s branding activity. Both will report directly to Rust.
UK general-goods retailer Argos announced the appointment of Vowles as marketing director last week.
