Ron Reese, a Las Vegas Sands group spokesman said Monday afternoon that the group’s hacked websites have all been repaired and restored following a devastating attack a week ago reportedly motivated by the extreme foreign affairs opinions of owner Sheldon Adelson.
The sites went down on February 12 after being defaced by hackers, who also embedded a scrolling feature revealing the personal information of employees.
The hacking affected Sands’ corporate website, the sites for casinos in Pennsylvania and the Italian-themed Venetian and Palazzo on the Las Vegas Strip as well as casinos in China and Singapore.
Investigations by the FBI are continuing.
