Canadian social gaming platform provider Tangelo Games Corp. has teamed up with virtual sports provider Leap Gaming in a deal that will see Leap’s product offered on Tangelo’s platform in a pioneering move to make virtual sports available to social players.
The agreement includes the introduction of several innovations designed to optimise Leap’s product for social environments in the European and Latin American markets.
The resulting product, which is already being developed and is planned for release by the end of the year, will be a 3D virtual sports game adapted to fit social casino players, with special social features to provide better entertainment and an easier layout to allow faster game play.
Oscar Fonrodona, Tangelo’s managing director, said in a press release Thursday that the innovative approach to a new social gaming product will help retain and monetise players, along with opening new acquisition channels.
Tangelo is the parent company of Diwip and Akamon, and was formerly known as Imperus Technologies Corp.
Leap Gaming is an Israel-based developer of 3D retail, web and mobile games.
