52-year-old Philip Gurian is the latest defendant in the Legends sportsbetting gambling bust to enter a guilty plea on a charge of conspiracy associated with illegal online sportsbetting in the United States.
Gurian, of Boca Raton, Florida was among 36 individuals across several states arrested by federal enforcement agencies in the spectacular break-up of the US activities of Panama-based Legends Sports earlier this year .
Federal prosecutors claimed that Gurian was an important US distributor of wagering monies associated with the huge gambling ring, generating up to $150,000 a day in illegal online sports bets.
