Live in-game betting for fantasy sports

Barry Mindes, the octogenarian developer who in the ‘nineties invented the SportsXaction live in-game betting software that was the forerunner of many of today’s land and online action betting facilities, is about to bring to market a new but related product for the booming fantasy sports vertical.

Unveiling his latest project in an interview with the Gambling 911 information site, 83-year-old Florida-based Mindes said that his new system allows people to wager on fantasy sports via the Internet while the game is in progress.

“It’s called the Phantasmagoria Sports System and it took two years to develop,” Mindes told Gambling 911. “I will be officially applying for a formal patent next month. Over the next few months I will be testing the software. I expect the system to be in use by the start of the 2016 football season.”

Mindes gave an insight into his future plans for Phantasmagoria, revealing that he anticipates deploying it as a white label solution to fantasy sports operators.

911 points out that Mindes has an impressive track record of winning products; in addition to SportsXaction he developed the off-track horse race betting system now widely used and universally known as OTB
