Lottomatica streamline terrestrial and online

The Lottomatica Group is merging its land-based division Spielo International with its online arm GTech G2.

Due to the growing convergence of online and terrestrial, streamlining will enable the firm to provide better solutions for both marketing channels and technology to further meet customer needs said a company spokesperson.

The re-organisation will strengthen and consolidate the company’s resources to meet and oppose competitive pressure from the likes of Aristocrat, IGT and Bally Technologies.

Walter Bugno, president and ceo, Spielo International will head up the newly converged company while GTECH G2’s current ceo Paulo Personeni will take over the leadership of the Lottomatica Group’s strategic investment division.

Lottomatica’s direct subsidiaries Spielo and Atronic recently integrated to form Spielo International.
