October proved to be a good month for Macau operators for the third month running, with gambling revenue up 8.8 percent year-on-year despite wider industry fears of a renewed Chinese government clampdown on high rollers (see previous reports).
The regulator reported that newly opened casino resorts boosted spending in the southern Chinese offshore territory, pushing revenues up to 21.8 billion patacas ($2.73 billion) and meeting the top expectations of analysts.
