LeoVegas Group has made several significant changes to its core management team to support the company’s continued growth.
Richard Woodbridge will serve as the company’s new chief operating officer in Malta from January 2019 with overarching responsibility for operations at LeoVegas’ offices in Malta. Woodbridge currently serves as chief operating officer of Nordic-focused e-commerce company, Ellos Group, prior to which he served in a similar capacity at Nelly.com.
“Richard’s background and personality are a perfect fit for LeoVegas as we continue to focus on growth and sustainability,” Gustaf Hagman, founder and CEO of LeoVegas said.
LeoVegas’ current chief operating officer, Marcus Nylén, will continue serving in the role in Malta through autumn 2018 until Woodbridge takes office.
Louise Nylén will assume the newly created role of deputy chief executive officer of LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group based in Stockholm. She previously served as chief marketing officer of LeoVegas, a role that will be broken up and eventually phased out.
Nylén’s new role requires working side-by-side with Group chief executive officer Gustaf Hagman dealing with strategic issues such as sustainability and value-creating projects, among other things.
She assumes the new position today, 10th of July.
“Louise has also played a key role in building our company culture and driving sustainability, and I look forward to working with Louise and all other employees to achieve our financial targets for 2020 of at least EUR 600m in revenue and at least EUR 100m in EBITDA,” Hagman added.
Chief commercial officer Rikard Ljungman will leave his position and Group Management to focus solely on LeoSafePlay, a new business unit for the next generation responsible gaming system which will be run as a separate unit.
Woodbridge will assume Ljungman’s chief commercial officer-related duties in Malta.
“Rikard was one of the initiative-takers behind LeoSafePlay, and with his strong product background, including as CPO for the software company Episerver, he has the exact right expertise to take the next step to make LeoVegas the leader in responsible gaming technology and strengthen our position as a GameTech company,” Hagman concluded.
