Major police swoop in Sarawak shutters 32 illegal gambling premises

Malaysian police in Sarawak report that a major operation was successfully concluded Wednesday with the shutdown of 32 premises used for illegal online gambling and the arrest of 40 individuals.

State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) head Senior Asst Comm Datuk Dev Kumar revealed that an unspecified but large number of computers and other evidence was seized during the swoop, which was carried out simultaneously across 11 districts and towns.
