Seven Malaysian internet gambling shops shut down in police raids

The provision of online gambling in Malaysia continued to prove a hazardous business this week with the arrest of 29 people – 22 of them punters – in police raids on seven premises.

Ninety-six personal computer sets worth around RM250,000 were seized during the closely coordinated evening raids, which were carried out as part of the ongoing Operation Dadu, police spokesmen revealed.
