The persistence of the Malaysian police in their efforts to exterminate online gambling is well known, but it seems that demand for internet gambling is undiminished…and there are clearly operators prepared to take the risk of police raids.
This weekend a property in a business park in Kuala Lumpur was the target of a major raid by the Special Task Force for Anti-vice, Gaming and Gangsterism, whose officers arrested 25 people and seized 80 computers and other evidence.
The result of the raid was tweeted by Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, who congratulated the police raiding team on a successful operation.
