Two Finnish-owned but Malta-based online gambling companies have decided that there is strength in unity and are to merge.
Once the merger is complete iGame and Plus One Dreams will employ over a hundred people and operate under the iGame brand.
iGame has been around for the last 13 years and is a Nordic-focused internet casino, poker, and betting enterprise which operates sites 24hPoker.com, Casinohuone.com, Pokerihuone.com, Veikkaushuone.com and iGame.com. The company has premises in Estonia and Malta and operates under an LGA licence.
Plus One Dreams Ltd also holds Malta licensing and offers online and mobile gambling entertainment. The company operates sites Kolikkopelit.com, Leijonaksino.com, Hertat.com and Bohemiacasino.com.
The two companies have signed a letter of intent, in which iGame acquires the majority of the shares outstanding in Plus One Dreams in a transaction that will be finalised on the 15th May 2014. The merged companies will retain existing members of staff, with plans for expansion and further recruitment.
The companies have business associations that go back several years:
Plus One Dreams CEO Rikard Ljungman says: “This is a dream merger for both parties. The two companies have known each other for many years and have a long lasting mutual respect and trust for each other. In addition, we complement each other extremely well in sector knowledge, market position and company values. We have the best possible foundation to complete a successful merger and continue on the growth path as a combined entity.
“Gaming and entertainment products can be offered to customers through a larger and more diversified product offering, resulting in expanded variety of games and deeper gaming experiences.”
Robin Larsson, CEO of iGame said that the merger would enable the combined companies to undertake significant investments in the future in order to improve services and create a unique gaming experience.
