Malta’s online gambling regulator Malta Gaming Authority has a new home following the official opening of the new premises this week by prime minister Dr. Joseph Muscat.
The office spans over 2,562 square meters spread over two floors, which will host over 150 employees. The building contains all the facilities needed for MGA to carry out its functions and activities in-house, such as press events, networking events, seminars and training for staff.
In his opening address, MGA executive chairman Joseph Cuschieri highlighted the new Gaming Act, which will be the focus of MGA this year and is expected to be presented in Parliament before the summer recess. Changes will include new consumer protection measures as well as simplification in the licensing structure from the current model to a B2B and B2C framework.
