Malta grants fantasy sports licence to Sportito

Daily fantasy sports provider Sportito had augmented its UK gambling licence with one from the Malta Gaming Authority as it seeks to expand its European footprint.

The company has ambitions in the German market, where it intends to tap into a significant DFS fan base.

Since achieving UK licensing in 2016, Sportito.co.uk has seen a surge in membership of 211 percent year-on-year,thanks to energetic marketing that has included partnership deals with English football clubs, Burnley in the Premier League and Fulham in the Championship league, enabling it to reach an estimated audience of 1.5 million fans.
