One of the industry’s most experienced marketing men has completed an almost two year appointment as chief marketing officer in Gibraltar for Gala Interactive and is to return to Britain. His responsibilities in Gibraltar will be assumed by Phil Walker.
Czajkowski has been in Gibraltar since January 2012 and has been a busy man; relaunching Gala Bingo.com, and positioning it among the top 3 bingo operators in the UK and leveraging multi-channel communications through the group’s 140 retail establishments.
In the process, Czajkowski boosted website visitors by 58 percent, and more than trebled new player acquisition monthly with a consequent substantial rise in turnover, GGR and EBITDA.
Almost a year ago he launched the Gala Bingo iOS app and saw it grow to 20 percent of revenues and 25 percent of new player acquisitions, and he was also involved in relaunching Gala Casino.com with 2012 traffic rising 271 percent, turnover up 128 percent, active players up 424 percent, GGR up 184 percent and EBITDA up approximately 274 percent.
As if that were not enough, Czajkowski was also entrusted with the relaunch of the Gala Partners.co.uk affiliate program, trebling active affiliates in less than twelve months!
Prior to joining Gala, Czajkowski founded and managed the Panama City-based online gambling firm egaming2.1 starting April 2008. Between 2004 and 2008 he was marketing director for Sportingbet, and between 2003-2004 he was director at British Isles Gaming.
He worked as marketing director for Kerzner Interactive in London between 2002-2003 when the South African hotel and casino resort mogul was developing an online gambling strategy. Earlier positions saw him in venture capital and marketing positions for several UK and US firms.
