Omni-channel gaming platform provider Mediatech Solutions has agreed a deal with Global Gaming Network to explore opportunities in the fast-emerging Cambodian market.
The agreement will see Mediatech lend its omni-channel expertise to a number of projects within Cambodia’s regulated gaming market.
Mediatech Solutions’ head of Asia-Pacific Tom Moester said: “We are delighted to have entered an agreement with Global Gaming Network to explore a number of projects in Cambodia.
“We are extremely optimistic about the potential of the market and look forward to combining our omni-channel and Asian know-how with Global Gaming Network’s unmatched connections in Cambodia.”
Global Gaming Network’s managing director Jonny Ferrari added: “Cambodia is one of the most exciting emerging gaming markets in the world, and our partnership with Mediatech Solutions will allow us to bring cutting-edge omni-channel technology to the sector for the first time.”
Cambodia’s licensed gaming market continues to boom, with in excess of 60 land-based casinos generating more than $34 million in taxes during 2015.
Gaming regulations are in the process of being modernised, and it is understood this will include a broader opening up of the online sector, which some land-based casinos are already permitted to enter.
Mediatech Solutions has agreed a number of omni-channel deals in recent months, including an agreement to supply Dutch land-based chain Fair Play with a new online casino using its market-leading IRIS platform.
