The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has published an industry advisory on recent amendments to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act published in the Government Gazette on December 1, 2017.
Act XXVIII of 2017 introduces a series of amendments to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act [Cap 373], a number of which form part of the transposition of Directive (EU) 2015/849 into Maltese law, and provide the Minister greater powers to combat money laundering and the funding of terrorism.
“Subject persons are strongly advised to familiarise themselves with these amendments,” the MGA said.
