Microgaming will soon debut online slot games themed on the iconic Jurassic Park franchise following a licencing agreement with Universal Partnerships & Licencing.
Jurassic Park, the original science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg and released in 1993, was based on the 1990 novel by Michael Crichton. Beating Spielberg’s blockbuster film E.T., the movie proved so popular two sequels followed titled The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III.
The Jurassic Park online slot, due to be previewed at ICE Totally Gaming in London at the beginning of February, will be a 243 ways-to-win game featuring five different free spin modes depending on the DNA analysis of the dinosaur randomly selected.
“Jurassic Park is a seminal movie – its stunning visual effects and computer-generated imagery set a new benchmark in the industry. It’s a film that we can draw parallels from in terms of our game creation and our aim to deliver the most visionary and imaginative gaming experiences to the end player. The Jurassic Park brand is legendary, and our game development team is busy creating an all-mighty slot for release later in the year,” said Roger Raatgever, chief executive officer of Microgaming.
